Toyota has made many great cars for a long time. My 4Runner has 145k and runs strong, thank God.
Don't overreact, people! Toyota is not Fiat or Renault. They will get a handle on this problem, and in meantime, Toyota shoppers have some leverage. Warren Olney's program "To The Point" was good on this topic today.
I agree, Pat. I can't help wondering if competitors aren't fueling the hysteria a bit. I haven't had time to follow closely, but what are the stats? 200 "incidents?" How many hurt? Out of how many cars/miles driven? Fixing is important, but I'm not likely to push my Toyota off a cliff as a safety precaution.
